3 Great Truths - 3 Absolutes

1. We have a relationship with the UNCHANGING PERSON.

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" Hebrews 13:8 (Amp.)

"Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers" Hebrews 2:11.

2. We belong to the UNSHAKEABLE KINGDOM.

"Since then we have been given a kingdom that is "unshakeable", let us serve God with thankfulness..." Hebrews 12:28 (Phillips).

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ" Philippians 3:20.

3. We are guided by the ENDURING WORD OF GOD.

"But the word of the Lord endures forever" 1 Peter 1:25 (NKJV).

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom..." Colossians 3:16 (see also 2 Peter 1:4; John 8:32).

God's Sovereign Hand is on Our Lives

God's eternal purpose guides His hand in everything He does. Even though we may not always see the Lord's hand at work, God has given us some very special promises:

1. God knows all things

"Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come" Isaiah 46:9-10.

"Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account" Hebrews 4:13.

2. God's justice will prevail

"God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels" 2 Thessalonians 1:6-7.

3. God works in all things for our good

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" Rom.8:28.

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work" 2 Corinthians 9:8.

4. Nothing can hinder God's plan

"I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted" Job 42:2.

"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" Phil.1:6.

5. Our times are in His hand

"But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, 'You are my God.' My times are in your hands...'" Psalm 31:14-15.

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end" Ecclesiastes 3:11
