A ceremony celebrating the 100,000th Bible or New Testament produced in Vietnam was held in Danang on 1 December. Few would have thought this possible a few years ago, when the only way to get a Bible in Vietnam was to obtain one from abroad.
Thanks to the work of the United Bible Societies (UBS) and the Rev Le Cao Quy, who has been co-ordinating Bible work in Vietnam on behalf of the UBS, 35,000 Bibles and 65,000 New Testaments have been printed locally and distributed throughout the churches over the last two years.
