Pastor Lisandro Orlov of Argentina, has been inducted by the Lutheran United Evangelical Church, as a minister dedicated to serving those affected by HIV/AIDS. The induction constituted an unprecedented gesture of recognition and commitment to this service in Argentina.
In a service led by the President of the Lutheran United Evangelical Church, Pastor Angel Furlan, the ministry which Mr Orlov had been carrying out for 10 years was given the same status as a parish. The Ecumenical and Solidarity Pastoral has maintained a Solidarity Hostel, where sufferers can find shelter and spiritual support.
