Three United Methodist-related Colleges are among America's 100 most wired colleges.
An internet magazine surveyed 300 colleges and universities to find out which schools provided the most access to the Internet. The magazine said of the more than 15 million college students in the United States, six million of them send and receive e-mail almost every day.
The most wired United Methodist-related colleges are American University, Washington, (47th), Hendrix College, Conway, Ark., (90th), and Millsaps College, Jackson, Miss., (100th). The magazine provided the following survey snapshot of the 100 most wired colleges: 100% offer students access to online library catalogues; 99% offer students unlimited access to the World Wide Web; 29% allow students to register for classes online and 71% supply a personal computer access port for every pillow.
